Description
Introducing the Bridgestone BX1LS Driver
The Bridgestone BX1LS driver is engineered to produce a low-spin, high-velocity ball flight. Its design is centered on achieving increased ball speed and a penetrating trajectory for golfers seeking to maximize distance.
Key Technologies
Carbon Composite Construction: The driver’s crown and sole are constructed from high-strength carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP). This strategic use of lightweight, yet strong, materials increases the moment of inertia (MOI) compared to its predecessor, which helps enhance stability and forgiveness.
Spine Stabilizer: This feature is designed to manage the head’s flexing at impact. By reducing unwanted crown and sole deformation, it contributes to a more efficient energy transfer to the ball, which helps produce a stronger ball flight.
Adjustable Cartridge: The BX1LS offers a customizable weighting system located on the sole near the face. This system includes four distinct weight screws (8g tungsten, 6g stainless steel, 4g titanium, and 2g aluminum). By interchanging these weights, golfers can create four different fine-tuned configurations to optimize their launch and spin characteristics for a more piercing ball flight.
Biting Face 2.0: The face features an updated milling pattern that is specifically designed to create more friction between the clubface and the ball at impact. This “slipless” milling technology is intended to minimize the sliding of the ball up the face, which is a common cause of excessive spin, thereby promoting a lower and more controlled spin rate.
SP-COR (Suspension Core): This technology is implemented to broaden the sweet spot. It works to improve ball speeds on off-center hits toward the heel and toe, providing more forgiveness across a larger area of the clubface.
